Three Cups of Tea
After a failed attempt to the highest mountain in Pakistan, American Greg Mortenson was near death and stumbled into the tiny town of Korphe. He was nursed backed to health and promised to return and build a school for the town's children. Fighting, poverty, terrorism and religionous extremism made the task nearly impossible. He built the school and eventually built more than 60 others in Pakistan and Afghanistan. His story is told in the book "Three Cups of Tea".

Mortenson has recently been critisized for many of his fund raising tactics and for "embelishing" the events in his stories.
