The Great Wall of China
Riply's Believe it or not claimed in 1932 that the Great Wall, "would be visible to the human eye from the moon". When the statement was made it was difficult to disprove. No astronaut ever claimed that they could see China's most famous landmark from the moon. Some say that it would be like seeing a human hair from two miles away.
